Overview

I was a project manager and UI designer on the QuickStrike team at ProLook, leading design on the Riddell Sports Uniform Customizer. I worked closely with engineering and product managers on the client side to ensure designs aligned with company goals and the engineering roadmap. Primary focus: Select Style, Select Cut, and Customize steps.

THE CHALLENGE

Competitors were closing deals while reps waited for revisions.

While trying to make a sale to a school, the time from leaving the coach's office to sending specs to designers — waiting for initial designs, revisions (often 8+ rounds) — took far too long. Competitors were closing deals in the time ProLook took to send a first draft. Performance issues with existing internal tools made it worse.

How might we give sales reps the ability to customize uniforms in real time with the coach — closing deals in the first meeting?

Real-time. 3D. In the room.

Create a 3D online customizer that could be used in real time with the coach during the first meeting — allowing both to make design changes on the spot. No waiting. No email chains. No lost sales.

MY CONTRIBUTION

From wireframes to engineering handoff.

01 UI Design — Select Style, Select Cut, Customize
Led design across three core steps of the customizer flow. Created wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and annotations for engineering. Ensured alignment between visual design and technical feasibility at every stage.
02 Cross-team Collaboration
Worked directly with ProLook engineering and Riddell product managers to align design decisions with technical constraints and business goals — bridging the gap between design intent and build feasibility throughout the project.
03 User Research & Testing
Selected to produce wireframes and conduct user research and testing for the customizer — validating that designs met both project requirements and real customer needs.
